It's certainly been fun producing all these public speaking videos for you. Thanks to all of you for your feedback and comments.

What touches me the most is that these videos provide value to you and give you truly workable answers to your public speaking needs, no fluff at all.

One-Half of... You know who we are already.

“Look! Who’s Talking La?” is the title of our very first Speaker Idol Show that will be launching mid September on Active Channel TV.

It all started from a chance encounter with Todd, CEO and producer of Active Channel TV. From our conversation, he learnt that Andrew and I were writing a book on public speaking. And as we were brainstorming on ways to promote the book internationally, the idea of doing a speaking show hit us.

And before we knew it, we were making plans of shooting a Singapore version of Speaker Idol.

Just got off on the phone with Darien and Darius, the two enigmatic radio hosts from Philadelphia, US. We first met at Panorama Toastmasters and it has been a year since we chatted. But thanks to the FAQ Book, we got to catch up again - this time live on radio! Because of the time difference, I had to crawl out of bed at 6 in the morning to make sure I don’t miss the interview. Can you imagine if I overslept and have the two hosts and thousands of listeners waiting??!! Not very nice.

Well…no. Actually Eric is going there for his six months overseas assignment. And by the time you read this, he should already be in Sri Lanka. You can read about it here

I actually went to the airport this morning to send him off but I missed him! The gate was closing and he had to go in. Luckily I managed to give him a call to bid him farewell.

One Half Of The FAQ Guys

Since this is officially my first hard copy book, I have invited two of my mentors to write with me. One is Irene Ang, popularly known as Rosie Phua in Phua Chu Kang. The other is Kelvin Lim, my personal coach and also one of the highest paying coaches in Asia. Personal reasons aside, they are also phenomenal speakers in their own rights. What's worse is that some public speaking "experts" are dispensing such advice freely as if they were some truth.

As a campaign against some of the most common (but useless) advice that you have heard about public speaking, we are going to launch a series of videos to ridicule the lame speaking advice that we frequently receive and to also offer you constructive tips to help you become a better speaker.
